Sport Pilot - SP is the new FAA program Light Sport Aircraft!

Understanding the Sport Pilot program will take a little more than a 'minute' of your time.  So sit-back, get comfortable and then read on...

We will break this new SP program down into (hopefully) digestible parts:

10-DAY SP PROGRAM

 

It would probably take an entire website to describe all that is contained within this unique in-depth, comprehensive PPC course.  There is a link below to the syllabus for the course that will give you a run-down of the ground school subjects and flight tasks.  But for here, suffice it may be to say, that we believe that after the 10-day training program, you will have more information and understanding of PPC flight, to not only comfortably pass your FAA written & Flight exams - but more importantly to be a safe powered parachute pilot for a long life-time). Sign-Up Procedures

10-Day

A 33% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your class seat, as only 4 to 5 students will be allowed per class.

  1. Complete the form: Student Application

  2. Indicate the number of students in your group and the relationship between the students.

  3. SkyTrails Ranch will then send you a packet, containing...

    A confirmation number

    bullet

    Your class dates

    bullet Your COMPUTER training manual - this manual will need to be read before the first class; and YES, you will need a computer - as the manual contain many videos and graphics. You can, of course, print the manual from your computer.

    A detailed list of hotels, along with local directions

    bullet

    And some forms that need to be signed, including

    Student Pilot Application

    bullet

    Binding Arbitration, and 

    bullet

    Acknowledgement of Risks & Hazards

    These forms (and perhaps a few others) must be filled-out and signed prior to the student's first interaction with the powered parachute aircraft.

  4. And finally, please be on time for the first day of class to enjoy a great & fun flight training program of camaraderie and learning!

Also, if a class is currently filled, you are welcome to ask to be put on to our WAITING LIST.  However, you may want to consider purchasing our "PPC SP Training Manual" now - cause it is mandatory to have read the manual before your class.  Credit for the purchase of the manual will be applied to your class cost.

 

Note: If you have a group of 3 or 4, will can usually custom schedule a 10-day class to fit your schedule!
